About Initiative
One of the key factors that determines the wealth of the nation is the health of all the citizens. Healthcare is an essential need for the society and emergencies require Sahaya Samvrudhi Sev Foundation identify, treat and effectively manage all these occurrences. It is a fact that without healthier, longer and happier life, it is hard to manage the desires and aspirations of people.
Medical aid for poor women and children is an essential service that helps with the health care of these populations. The goal is to help them live a better life and offer them the possibility to have a better future. In many cases, they are women who live in poverty and who do not have access to basic health care.
What We Did Last Year
- Women and children made up more than 70% of all beneficiaries during the reporting period.
- 34 operational initiatives provided healthcare services to 541,835 individuals in 478 isolated communities
- Greater than 10,000 students benefited from the School Health Program.
- 37373 people's emergency medical needs were met by 142 multi-specialty camps that were held in underserved slums and isolated rural areas.
Our Goal In This Initiative
We believe that education is the key to healthcare. So we’ve been working hard to create a platform where women and children can learn more about their health, and how to make better choices.

When asthma and skin problem worsened, 65 year old Tejaswi Barik had to discontinue his work in the nearby farms as a daily wager. Tejaswi was bound to stay at home, causing his children to work in the fields to fulfill the basic household needs.
Tejaswi Barik has now recommenced her work in the farms. She continues to take her medicines for asthma and also takes part in mobilising other villagers in seeking healthcare from the Sahaya Samvrudhi Seva.
